ItemTracker allows complete flexibility in handling barcodes. As well as providing ItemTracker, our complete sample tracking and management solution, we also provide all the services required to help you get up to speed quickly. This includes hardware such as barcode printers and scanners through to configuration, training and validation.
Equipment (bar-coding)
ItemTracker provides complete label design and barcode handling functionality. In addition to generating labels from within ItemTracker, externally generated barcodes can be associated with samples (items).
When using ItemTracker you can print to any Windows based printer and also use any barcode reader with a keyboard wedge interface. We can provide assistance in purchasing and setting up bar-coding equipment.
Configuration
ItemTracker is a highly flexible sample management solution which is used across many disciplines in clinical and research laboratories. Its strength comes from being highly configurable with almost all aspects being either highly configurable or user-definable. In the rare instance ItemTracker has not done what the client requires, we have developed it further to help them achieve their requirements.
Assistance with configuration can vary according to the situation, from a few words of advice to assistance in running a large scale implementation project.
Validation
Validation can be an onerous activity especially when the subject matter is not understood. ItemTracker are continually developing their validation package and services to suit their customers’ needs as defined by their customers’ respective regulatory authorities.
There are many models that can be used when validating software and ItemTracker has chosen GAMP (Good Automated Manufacturing Practice) as the preferred model.
This ensures ItemTracker is developed to comply with all regulatory requirements including CFR 21 Part 11, Human Tissue Act and Human Fertilisation and Embryology Association regulations.
Training
ItemTracker distributors provide training packages tailor-made to their customers’ requirements. Generally these courses are run at the customer’s own location at a choice of two levels: User or Administrator level.
